Gorgeous Custom Pool and Spa in St Augustine

While these three adjectives readily apply to this pool project we recently completed in St Augustine, as you’ll see from the photos, they in no way convey just how beautifully the homeowners’ vision and perfectly-coordinated color and materials selections resulted in a thoroughly elegant, full-featured poolscape. Also a perfectly-sized aesthetic enhancement to their home, this screen-enclosed pool enables all who live and visit there to swim, play water sports, sunbathe, enjoy the hydrotherapeutic spa, sit and relax and/or dine poolside under an illuminated sunbrella… all with a water view. Hmmm…seems like backyard resort-style living, no?

The details:

This custom-designed, 12′ X 29′ heated pool features a spacious 12′ X 9′ raised spa with center spillway at one end, balanced by an equally spacious 12′ X 5′ sun shelf accented by 2 LED illuminated bubblers at the other. There is also a 12′ long in-pool bench along the wall beneath the spa and a travertine-capped, raised water-feature wall from which a 36″ wide shear fall flows;

The deck is travertine in the color Tuscany installed in the Versailles pattern with 6″ X 12″ straight edge coping;

The ledge stone on the exterior of the raised spa and water-feature wall is the color Scabos;

The waterline tile is a matte-finish ceramic 6″ X 6″ from the Serengeti collection by Noble Tile Supply in the color Olduvaj;

The lifetime interior finish is the color Gold from the Signature Matrix Collection by Wet Edge Technologies. Golden caramel, tan, grey, griege and pale white pebbles combine with a small amount of glossy black pebbles to impart a light aqua green hue to the water, while resembling sun-drenched beach sand on the horizontal pool/spa surfaces and in the shallower areas. All Signature Matrix interior finishes contain two pebble sizes which interlock to create a tight compaction that gives the finish a smoother texture than single-sized pebble pool finishes.
